Discover Pueblo

Pueblo is a friendly city located 100 miles south of Denver. Also known as the “Steel City” and at one time had the largest steel mill west of the Mississippi. EI Pueblo Museum, Steelworkers Center of the West, and the Rosemount Museum tell a very interesting history from the mid-1800s. The Pueblo Weisbrod Aircraft Museum, located at the Pueblo Municipal Airport, has an excellent collection of vintage aircraft. The airport also has daily flights to Denver International Airport.

Education in Pueblo
Pueblo has 2 school districts 60 and 70 as well as several private schools. We have Colorado State University-Pueblo and the Pueblo Community College. The Rawlings Pueblo Library is centrally located overlooking the Arkansas River and downtown Pueblo. There are also several branches in the community.

Lake Pueblo State ParkPueblo has a number of attractions that appeal to people of all ages. Among the biggest is Lake Pueblo, which boasts 4,500 surface acres of water, 60 miles of shoreline and almost 10,000 acres of land. Known as a fishing hot spot, the Lake provides a great opportunity for fishing, boating, and swimming.

Along with the Lake, the Arkansas River also provides ample opportunities for camping, kayaking, and rafting. Other attractions include The Royal Gorge Bridge, Horse Back Riding, Buckskin Joe’s Railway, Cave of the Winds, and Seven Falls.Lake Pueblo State Park!
